I dont get it |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
Consider the color of the man's face.
It seems that the man who'll die have a grey face. The orange monster is just like a Azrael. That's my opinion. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
the game boy kills people, maybe the family members would get killed too, though they dont know about it |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
The little kid's dad will die cuz he lied to his son. The oringe color monster maybe is the "judgement" |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
What happened to most of the comments? |
| JJS 3 years ago |
They were all deleted to the point in time before the comics were posted on reddit/stumbleupon (approximately July 1st) since 99% of them were retarded. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
The red monster pushes people off of heights so they die. The boy is cheering next to a window so most likely he will lean back, fall through the window, and die. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
The color? |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
Hey, the comments are gone. Now I don't know why each comic is funny anymore. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
The boy is about to fall out the window, cheering too hard and flailing his arms too wildly his chair will tilt backwards and fall out the windo |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
MY FUCKING TALENT FRIEND TOLD ME THAT: THE MONSTER'S EYES WILL TURN GREEN WHEN HE KILLS MEN. SEE THE FIFTH SCENE. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
I think the monster follows those who are suicidal. |
| AliceHellsing 2 years ago |
I think gender makes monster eyes color.
In 3rd case, the color looks like some kind Mixed color. Not sure. In my opinion, this means: No matter how small the lie is,It may destroy your entire life. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
where did the meatball com from?
The dead people!!! The red guy looks like their maid, who cooks for them... |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The Dad grabed the son's meatball. I guess the family's poor. So the Dad must be lying when he promised his son to buy him a GameBoy. Then it's time for the monster to kill the Dad. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
the boy will die soon. he father and mother know it (maybe they can see the red guy).
so the father take his son's meatball to eat (a die boy don't need so mach foot). and promise to give the boy a gameboy (don't need really give him)... i think so... |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The orange guy is gonna push the kid through the window in the final frame. The dad doesn't give a shit. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Firstly, the orange guy is not real, just a metaphor, those people suicided. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
lol, suicided. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Simply, none of what they're doing/saying matters, they're all about to be pushed out of the window. (Boy won't get his gameboy, etc) |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The dad is suicidal. Notice that all the people who fall are grey while the family is yellow. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
jesus christ you guys it's just the juxtaposition of this thing pushing suicidal people to their deaths and then oh! he's just chilling with a happy family out of nowhere. it's just the absurdity. that's it. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Jesus people you are st.up.id! I hope you are all 10 year old.... |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Jesus christ you are all retarded. The orange guy is there when people fall from a great height and die. He gives the little nudge the sends them over. Last panel... kid's cheering and leaning back in his chair.. right in front of a huge-ass glass window.
What do you think is about to happen to the kid? |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
People, people... It's actually slightly deeper than all of you are saying. It _is_ suicide, and the point is that these little lies that parents tell their kids eat away at their self-esteem and eventually lead to them jumping off buildings.
1) Father takes a bit of food from his kid 2) Kid gets upset 3) Father tells him he'll buy him a [PS3]* to make up for it 4) Kid screams for joy 5) ...but lurking in the room is the disappointment and the letdown when he'll eventually realize that the father was just lying. Multiply this by 100 and you have another suicide. Moral of the story: stop fibbing to your kids! |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
* updated to today's equivalent |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
i dont know if the first two suicides are specific cases, but the third is definitely a reference to a 'Hyundai' chairman-to-be, who committed suicide before a scheduled, highly-publicized legal review.
as for the eye color, it might be gender; it might be 'judgment', who knows. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I though it was the father was going to kill himself, if you notice all of the people that were "pushed" off have roughly the same skin tone including the father.
The father killed himself, the game boy was a lie. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The large window frame and the orange guy in the room is the PUNCHLINE! If it was suicide and this personification of it were all involved....i don't know, it would be too much of chore to figure out...
Why it exists in the first place...i don't have a clue. But what its function is IS to push people over the edge (don't assume it's suicide.) so the punchline at the end is the kid leaning over the edge. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I agree with bullet-point anon above.
The red monster is pushing depressed people that are committing suicide. The schoolgirl is obviously depressed, and already standing on the edge of the building and looking down. The Hyundai thing was a real, high-profile suicide in 2003. I don't know about the third one specifically, but I know there's cases of a mother committing murder/suicide with her children (this may have been another local news story). And then, finally, we have a little scene where a dad promises his kid an awesome gift. Another situation that I can't really prove is going to happen, but is pretty common, is parents promising something to their kids just to make them happy and not delivering. And there's the monster, sitting nearby, not actively pushing anyone but just sitting and waiting. It's subtle, but I thought it was (darkly) funny. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
How could the joke be that the boy is about to fall out of the large window? It's a closed glass window, and you don't just smash through a window by falling backwards.
Yeah, looks like Mr. "Jesus Christ you are all retarded" above gets to STFU. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
he's saving them from the terrible secret of space. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
HAHA I LIVED IN KOREA FOR 10 YEARS AND THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
All the monsters have different noses and eye colors. They're different people. The one in the last panel is simply enjoying a meal with his adopted family. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
hmmmaybe it's about Gameboy addiction and neglecting your loved ones. So much so that they seem 'dead' to you while u happily play on. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Moral "Make the people close to you happy and they will not commit suicide" |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Dad can promise anything cause he already decided to jump. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
NO ONE GET IT!
THE DAD PLAYS A HAPPY FACE AND JOKES WITH HIS FAMILY BUT HIS GREY FACE SAYS IT ALL. HE'S NOT THAT HAPPY AND WANT TO DIE BUT HE WANT TO HIDE IT. GET IT! |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
father will suicide |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Father will an hero... |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
when the orange killed the 2nd people, his eyes' color was green---the same as when he is sitting near the father.
the father is depressed and he would suicide---but before he do so ,he is not sure whether this is good--- he wants to know wheter his son loves him. so, he ate his son's meat ball and his son cryed for it before he promised to buy him a gameboy. the poor father is even less useful than a gameboy. it is sad ,is not it? oh,so he died---he is the 2nd one. maybe only chinese people could understand this easier. with pleasure to discuss it. 12301969@qq.com |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
no,the boy has fallen down. From anger to glad. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I think the red guy is "suicide". Look at the first girls' face (though it doesn't make much sense with the mom, but anyway) and the dad is going to commit suicide. It's new-age comedy. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Why did the father eat his Meatball?? WHY?!?!?!? |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The color of the monster eyes says what it does. The orange eyed one pushes people off ceilings, the brown eyed pushes people off balconies, and the green eyed pushes them from windows (panel 5). So the monster is likely to push the boy through the window as his chair leans backwards. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The orange represents suicide...
The comic tell that the lie the father told to his son (among other things like this one that will happen through his life) will end up in the boy's suicide. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The first girl fell by accident. The second situation is a mother trying to save her children who accidentally fell off the railing. The third is a man's suicide. The eye color corresponds to the monster's role in the person's life. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Save her children?
Biggest pile of bullshit I've ever heard. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I know the Hyundai and the boy who committed suicide over a stolen game boy are cases. assuming the others are real cases aswell theres a pattern. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
jesus christ its just about a thing that pushes people from high places. The joke is that the kid is sitting next to a window, supposedly high up in a building, and the thing is about to push him |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
The red dude represents people's suicidal tendencies. Friendly conversation with family is the only thing keeping that man from killing himself.
This comic can be surprisingly heavy at times. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
He wants the boys gameboy. GOSH |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
THE KID IS LEANING RIGHT BEHIND THE WINDOW GET IT?????????????????? FUCK! |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
Father will eat his son and then by emptying his bowel will make a friend for the red guy. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
everyone in the previous scenes are committing suicide. mothers committing suicide and taking their children along with them does happen, and it's strongly implied in this comic. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
The monster isn't pushing people to their deaths you buffoons, it's a manifestation of each person's suicidal feelings. The boy leaning back into the window in the last panel is just a red herring. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
This red monster is a demon of suicide in Korean mythology. Color of his eyes is also important. Green means debt. So i guess you get the idea i hope. |
| Anonymous 10 months ago |
Actually, the context is this:
Suicides are all where the orange guy is actively pushing them off. However, the Orange guy isn't in the last frame. The Joke is that the boy is excited at the news and accidentally falls out the window. ....and the family is going to claim it was suicide. (Orange guy is not pushing) |
| Anonymous 10 months ago |
no. you are all wrong. you see, there was no window before, it was just a big empty space! but now they dont have to fear being pushed out the window cause there is glass there. |
| Anonymous 9 months ago |
Wait wait wait I get it. This is super depressing. The people were committing suicide. That guy sitting at their table indicates the dad is going to kill himself, so while the kid is so happy he's getting a gameboy his dad will kill himself making him depressed. |
| Anonymous 8 months ago |
"This red monster is a demon of suicide in Korean mythology. Color of his eyes is also important. Green means debt. So i guess you get the idea i hope."
this is correct |
| Anonymous 6 months ago |
Everything seems normal, even if the person is about to kill themselves.
If the color of the eyes in the last panel means debt, then it's ironic. The father is going to buy the boy a toy to make up for a trifling thing. |

I agree with the explanation of a previous poster. The father is probably struggling with something in his life right now (perhaps debt and bankruptcy) and before committing suicide he wanted to make sure he knew what his son thought about him. To test his son he takes a meatball (in his head he's thinking "would my own son be okay with sharing his food with me?"). The son complains but is easily made happy by the promise of a gameboy. This makes the father think "my son prefers money and games over his own father".... this drives the father into thinking he's better off dead, perhaps resulting in some more money for the family through life insurance. |
| Anonymous 4 months ago |
I was under the impression that this was some kind of absurdist anti-joke. If it's some kind of suicide monster from Korean mythology, does anyone know what it's called? |
| Anonymous 4 months ago |
I think its more to do with the "demon" deciding to relax (hence the green eyes) with this family after a hard days work pushing people off buildings (hence the red eyes). The father was just kidding with his son over the Gameboy, it was just a bit of banter, nothing else or significant. The grey colour of the face is irrelevant and just to throw you off. Maybe its just the demon having some quality time away from the stresses of "work"? |
| Anonymous 1 month ago |
Googling around mom-jumps-with-baby is a pretty common newfangled suicide trend. So yeah, going with the gameboy suicide interpretation. |
| Anonymous 3 weeks ago |
this mean that kid wont get gameboy, PERIOD |
