| Anonymous 3 years ago |

| Anonymous 3 years ago |
Well, the white guys might have the better idea with the chain but they didn't manage to figure out which track had the train on it. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
I thought it was a Michael Jackson commentary. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
Lol, all tracks have trains on them. They don't like pointlessly exist. |

There are plenty of abandoned and unused railways in america just another example of our amazing ablility to not reuse anything. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
its funny cause its true. |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
its true cos it's funny |
| Anonymous 3 years ago |
If they're such good friends, why couldn't they wait until they walked to a town to break the chain? Worst case scenario, one of them starves to death and the other one has a free meal. |

racist |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
sad.. and racist... |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
And yet it wouldn't be racist if the two in the last had been indian, or middle eastern, or russian, or whatever. The point is that the guy totally didn't think about what he was doing. His color has nothing to do with it. Would you care if everyone in the comic was white? |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I agree that there is a double standard about white racism. If the two Aryan boys in the last cell where Mexican, the idea of racism wouldn't enter into the mind of the reader. However, the artist was certainly making a racial statement about the "intellectual superiority of whites" (sic). Before the cells of that comic where filled with color, the artist had to think about with which colors he was going to use; and the bleach-white skin and golden-blond hair was no accident and neither were the Asian or the afro-sporting black man. The artist was very specific.
But going back to my initial comment, it's just as likely that two Mexicans could be racist against blacks, Asians and whites. But the comic-strip would not appear as a racist comic-strip if it had been two of any other ethnicity that were shown in that last cell, but in the case of two whites in the final cell instantaneously makes it a racial statement. |

"Well, the white guys might have the better idea with the chain but they didn't manage to figure out which track had the train on it."
I defer to this as my interpretation. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
you never know. those coulda been asians with bleached hair. ive seen it. they exist |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Odd. When I read this I never saw it as racist. It was only after reading the comments I realised it could be construed as being racist. Clearly racism is in the mind. All of you who shouted "racism" perhaps you should take a long look at yourselves. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Can't you see this man is a nit? |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The only race this is racist against is black people. Just look at "despite me being black." Plus the asian character tries to stop the black one. Also why would the author be a white supremacist when he is clearly asian? So no the artist is not "making a racial statement about the 'intellectual superiority of whites'" hes being racist against blacks, which in asia is very common. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Well, the artist is Korean, so, yeah, it's quite likely that he's a little bit racist. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
At the risk of making a stereotype of my own: I think racism, especially against people with dark skin, is more widespread and socially acceptable in East Asia than in Europe and the US. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACISM, GOD DAMN. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
haha soo funny...that last cell is def a facepalm moment |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Priceless. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Uhh stupid much? The white guys' chain isn't going to break. it'll probably just whip around and nail one of the white guys in the head at breakneck speed, giving the other one a whole new set of problems.
What you're seeing is your own racist reasoning, morons. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
so did the two pairs of prisoners break out of jail at the same time, or why are there multiple pairs of chained prisoners wandering around on the tracks.
pretty crappy jail, imo. |

This particular comic is not asaekkiga,
it's chu-ri-ring, which is also very good korean short comic. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
The white guys are Slim Shady/ Eminem.
(Marshall Mathers) He resolved his conflicting personas without killing either of them. One's public. One's private. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
I read this and didn't see racism. I saw two dumb criminals who couldn't come up with a better plan. |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |
Hysterical white people see racism everywhere |
| Anonymous 2 years ago |

You guys are morons. The author is implying that blacks understand that there is a large racial difference between blacks and other races, and thus has been influenced to think he was inferior.
When the asian man shows kindness, the Black man offers his life as a sacrifice. Just before the train hits, the black man sees the other two people of the same race (same race is important) doing something smart, instead of using racist stereotypes to cloud the judgement. So the two people of other descent both want to be saved, and thus act accordingly. |
| Anonymous 1 year ago |
You guys think white people is smart? Well this comic author is Asian for the record.. |

BY THE COLLECTIVE POWER OF FART |
| Anonymous 11 months ago |
people would probably also call it racism if there wouldn't appear any other skincolour than that brownish greyish in the comics |
| Anonymous 11 months ago |
Err,I don't know if many of you realise it, but the comic is obviously made by an asian. So I doubt that it's supposed to be racist.. |
| Anonymous 10 months ago |
What's worse is the other guys are thinking "Hey, the train is on that stupid track! Not the one our chain is on! Atleast those guys had the right track, dammit! Now WE look stupid! Oh well...guess neither of us died...hehe" |

Awwww Shiiiiiiiiii- |

The comic is called Image. The first thing that I thought of is that it is Michael Jackson's two images; the "past" (black) Michael and "present" (white.. or technically, dead :x) Michael. He sacrifices his black past to embrace his "new" image.
In the last panel, notice that the two blonde men look exactly alike. I interpreted that as someone else who successfully managed to reconcile their two images, rather than trying to "kill off" one of them. Considering that the artist is Korean, and that the "asian" man has Michael's tell-tale nose and looks nothing like the other asian people portrayed in these comics, I don't think this is a message about white people being smarter or better than other people. |
